Following an early career doing faith-based advocacy at the United Nations, I was ordained as a Unitarian Universalist minister in 2017 and served congregations in New York City and Denver. Hence the reverend title - it was hard earned in congregational internships, religious education placements, and a three year Masters of Divinity degree!

For several years I served as an interfaith hospital chaplain throughout New York City and Denver. I spent a year specializing in burn unit and neuro-ICU care as a resident at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York. After my residency, I returned to the parish as the Assistant Minister at the First Universalist Church of Denver.

Before transferring to CU Boulder to pursue my PhD in Information Science, I moved on from parish ministry in 2019 to begin my Ph.D in Religious Studies at the University of Denver. DU was where I began to connect ministry, moral philosophy, and AI ethics.

My ministry reflects a personal and professional life marked by helping people make sense and meaning out of grief and trauma. Drawing from this background I ground everything I do - from research to product design - in service, humility, and a dedication to the public good.
